True Value Rewards is a free program that allows you to earn points for your purchases at Ed Young's or other participating True Value stores. As you accumulate points we will mail you valuable rewards, including cash discounts.

Here's How It Works
Use your Rewards card or keytag whenever you make a purchase at a participating True Value store. Whether you are purchasing a picture hanger or a power tool, you will earn points for every dollar you spend (net of tax and coupons). For every 250 points you accumulate, we’ll mail you a reward certificate for $10.00 off your next purchase. Reward certificates are issued weekly. That’s all there is to it. (True Value Reward Certificates and coupons can only be redeemed at participating True Value Stores.)

Most items and services earn points. All items earn one (1) point per dollar spent, except those items or departments listed below. 

These products earn one-quarter (1/4) point per dollar spent.

In Store Product Discounts
Each month selected products at Ed Young's True Value will be specially priced for True Value Rewards customers only. To receive these special discounts, you must have your card or keytag scanned by the cashier when you shop.


Special Offers
Throughout the year, True Value and participating manufacturers will be offering special rewards to True Value Rewards customers. Look for exclusive offers in the store and in your mailbox. In addition to earning one point for every dollar you spend, you can earn bonus points by referring a friend to the True Value Rewards program.

Q: Can my True Value Rewards Card be used at other participating True Value Stores?

A: Yes, if they are participating in the rewards program.

 Q: Can I redeem my coupons or discounts at other participating or Non participating True Value Stores?

A:  Yes, I have asked the non participating True Value Stores to honor the coupons and to contact Ed Youngs for reimbursement.

Q: Why do you ask for my E-mail address?

A: Initially you will receive a $5.00 coupon that can be used on any purchase over $20.00. Periodically, we will be offering special discounts to those who have provided us their e-mail address

  Q: How many times can I print the Welcome E-mail?

A: You can print the e-mail multiple times. However, we require a customer to make a $20 purchase in order to get the $5 discount

Q: How many cards can be linked to my account? What's the max?

A:  We can link a maximum of two cards per household.  Cards can only be linked by two individuals from the same address.

Q: Do all of my employees have to carry a card to receive the in store discounts and accumulate points.

A: No, if you or your employees either don’t have a card, or forgot it, the cashier can find your account number when you check out at the register.

Q: Can I use a rewards coupon for a purchase less then $10?

A: No, Since there is no cash value to these rewards coupons, your total purchase before tax  must exceed $10.00  

Q: What is your privacy policy?  

A: We value our customer’s privacy and will not violate their trust in any way.  The data will be co-owned by True Value Company and Ed Young’s Hardware. Program related data will be used solely for the purpose of running the rewards program and sending program related offers to our customers.

Q:   I have a store account with multiple users, will they be required to show the card with every purchase?

 A:  No, when you make a purchase using  your account, the points for that purchase will automatically be added to your total. 

Q:  Will I be able to use my rewards certificate as a payment on my account? 

 A:  No, the rewards certificates have no cash value and can only be applied toward a future purchase.           

Q:   Are purchases made through Ed Youngs Plumbing eligible for points?

A:   No, Ed Young's Plumbing is a separate division of Ed Young's True Value.  If you would like to accumulate points for merchandise you would like our plumbers to install, you will have to purchase the items at the hardware store and provide them to our plumber when he arrives at your home.

The True Value Rewards® program is administered by True Value Company, in conjunction with participating True Value® stores.

The True Value Rewards® program is a free benefit to customers of participating True Value® stores.

No purchase is necessary to join.  All individual customers at least eighteen (18) years of age of participating True Value® stores in the U.S. are eligible to participate. Commercial accounts and contractors are eligible to enroll and participate at the discretion of the participating True Value® store operator.

True Value® employees, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

Eligible customers may enroll at the point of sale by completing an Enrollment Form. No purchase is necessary to enroll. Only enrolled customers (“Participant(s)”) are eligible to earn points in the program.

Changes in account information must be handled using the appropriate form at a participating True Value® store.  Participants cannot change their enrollment date.

Participants may cancel their account at any time by calling 877-935-4662.

 Point Accumulation

Enrolled Participants earn one (1) point for every one dollar ($1.00 USD) spent at participating True Value® stores. Points will be credited on the total purchase amount less federal, state, local or other taxes and items excluded from the program.

Participants must present their True Value Rewards® Card or provide their account number and some form of identification in order to earn points on purchases. Exceptions will be made solely at the discretion of the participating True Value® store.

Points earned for purchases that result in returns or refunds will be deducted from Participants account.

Purchases prior to the date of enrollment are not eligible for points. Any future changes in point accumulation rules will also not be retroactive.

Points have no cash value and points cannot be exchanged for cash.

Points will be credited to Participant accounts within 30 days.

 

True Value Rewards and Coupons

True Value takes the protection and proper use of your personal information seriously.  We respect your privacy, and take great care to safeguard information in our possession.  True Value does not share and does not sell customer information (including e-mail addresses) outside the True Value family of retailers.  However, by participating in the program, you agree to receive mail endorsed by True Value Company, and/or participating True Value retailers as part of the True Value Rewards® Program.

By giving us your email address, you agree to be eligible to receive e-mail rewards and promotional announcements that are endorsed by True Value Company and/or participating True Value retailers.

Periodically during any given year, eligible Participants will receive communications that may contain exclusive offers and special bonus point offers in the form of coupons.

Program Participants who meet minimum point thresholds will receive a True Value Rewards® certificate as part of their newsletter.  See participating stores for details.

Points not issued in the form of True Value Rewards® will be carried over to the next mailing.

Participants will not receive cash back or store credit for purchases less than the True Value Rewards® certificate value.

True ValueRewards® carry no cash value, cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. True Value Company and individual True Value® stores are not responsible for replacing lost, stolen or mutilated certificates or coupons. Copies of True Value Rewards® certificates and bonus point coupons will not be accepted.

True Value Rewards® and bonus point coupons expire within 90 days of issuance.

True Value Rewards® certificates may be used in conjunction with bonus point coupons.

Point Transfer and Account Merging

True Value Rewards® Participants cannot transfer points from one account to another.

 

Lost or Stolen Cards

True Value Rewards® Participants who lose their program card may receive a new card at the True Value® store in which they enrolled. The original account number will be linked with the new account number and points will be merged with the new account number.

Participants are encouraged to write down their card number to allow for proper crediting of points to the new account number.

True Value Company and participating True Value® stores are not responsible for any account activity prior to a reported loss or theft.

Additional Program Terms

True Value Rewards® cards remain the property of True Value Company and must be surrendered upon request.  True Value Company and participating True Value® stores reserve the right to disqualify anyone from participation in the program and to immediately invalidate all points accumulated or presented based on abuse, fraud, or any violation of the program terms and conditions.

True Value Company and/or participating True Value® stores reserve the right to determine the number of points for any item, department or purchase transaction.

True Value Company and individual True Value® stores are not responsible for any unauthorized True Value Rewards® certificate redemption.

Determination of any tax liability related to points and point redemption is the sole responsibility of the Participant. Participants are responsible for determining, recording, and paying all federal, state, and local taxes.

The True Value Rewards® program and offers are only redeemable at participating True Value® retailers and are void where prohibited by law.  Offers may not be redeemed at truevalue.com.

True Value Company and participating True Value® stores reserve the right to restrict, suspend, change, or cancel the terms and conditions of the program and any associated offer(s) at any time without prior notification. This means that accumulated points in no way entitle participants to any vested rights with respect to the True Value Rewards®  program.

True Value Company and independent True Value® store operators reserve the right to cease participation in the program at any time without prior notification to Participants.

True Value Company and independent True Value® store operators also reserve the right to offer a modified point structure for certain items or departments or to exclude certain types of purchases altogether from inclusion in the program.

Except as indicated herein, the Program may not be combined with other offers.

In all matters relating to the interpretation and application of any rule or phase of this program, the decision of True Value Company shall be final.
